University Ice Cricket Tournament in Estonia
Whether you are a University cricket club, hall, society or a group of student friends, if you like cricket, you'll LOVE Ice Cricket! Over 100 people flew to Tallinn in Estonia throughout February and March to play in our Ice Cricket Tournaments in 2007. These Ice Cricket events are so popular that we're taking bookings for 2008 already so get involved.
What?
Cricket teams from all over the world visit Estonia’s brilliant capital city, Tallinn every year in February and March to play Ice Cricket on the ice covering Lake Harku or even on two ice rinks in an old Soviet Missile Factory. The boundary marked out to keep bemused locals off the pitch, the wicket is carved out of the ice, and you use an indoor windball.
   
Cricket spikes give you as much grip as possible but whatever you're wearing you'll end up looking like Bambi on Ice at some point during the day. Ice Cricket is a great chance to play social cricket with a difference, in one of the best cities in Europe. At Tours 4 Students, we work with the Estonian Cricket Association (ECA) to ensure that all our tournaments are played to the official rules.
Where?
Tallinn is the lively medieval capital of Estonia and is in a class of it's own as a cricket tour destination. There are some great activities to try, friendly locals and plenty of modern bars, pubs, clubs and shops to spend the days in.
