Edinburgh is a great destination for a budget UK student tour for a University hall, department or society and when you get there you'll realise why. The city itself is a mix of towering old townhouses, monuments and bridges with the castle overlooking the whole city. The Museums and traditional Scottish shops will have enough to keep everyone entertained. Shopping on Princes Street is great with hundreds of big name shops and 3 large shopping centres to choose from. On a night out start off on the Royal mile a the Bank Hotel which is an old Bank converted into a brilliant new sports bar. There are plenty of bars and restaurants just off the Royal Mile leading down to the Cathedral. Whistle Binkies is a great live music venue but if you're after clubbing then try Rush on Blackfriars or any of the venues near the Royal mile.
